The so-called "assembly of loose parts", according to international conventions, is abbreviated as KD (Knocked Down)
CKD (Complete Knocked Down) is a fully assembled assembly, while SKD (Semi Knocked Down) is a semi assembled assembly, with some assemblies being ready-made. And even worse, DKD (Direct Knocked Down) is almost a white body assembly, with four wheels installed to make the entire vehicle.
CKD (Completely Knocked Down)
CKD is a proprietary term used to refer to imported vehicle models in the form of loose parts. Parts produced locally are assembled into complete vehicles using local labor at lower tariffs and wages, and sold at lower retail prices. At present, the whole vehicle production enterprises or OEM suppliers of sedans introduced in China use all loose parts to assemble assemblies or components on the assembly line and inspect and test them before leaving the factory. Full loose parts can be imported parts or locally produced parts. Nowadays, most OEM suppliers use imported parts, some locally produced parts, or all locally produced parts to assemble into assemblies or components on the assembly line.
